Morgan Robinson for Collingswood Commission
Collingswood's welcoming spirit and diversity was a strong draw for Morgan Robinson's biracial family when they were looking for a place to call home in 2002. Her family found an older duplex and enthusiastically restored a house on the east side of town into their new family home. Her third son was born in that very house!
Over the years, she has been an intrinsic part of the community as both a small business owner, a mother, and Commissioner. Morgan first became well known as the owner of Frugal Thrift & Vintage, a beloved local shop that thrived for 10 years, fostering sustainability and community connections before closing in 2020.
As a parent to three sons who all attended Collingswood schools (as of this June, all three will be CHS graduates). Morgan is a founding member of the Collingswood Pride Committee, is stepping into a leadership role for the Sustainable Collingswood committee, and is the chair of the May Fair Committee. Morgan currently resides in Collingswood with her youngest son and her beloved pup, Cedar.
Professionally, Morgan is a skilled freelance editor, writer, and facilitator for women’s art retreats, where she nurtures creative expression, personal growth, and community-building. With a keen eye for detail and a talent for storytelling, she has helped shape stories that inspire and empower others. Her work as a writer and editor has strengthened her ability to communicate effectively and engage diverse audiences—skills that have been invaluable in her role as a Commissioner.
As a facilitator of women’s art retreats, Morgan creates inclusive, supportive spaces where participants can explore creativity, build confidence, and form lasting connections. This experience has deepened her understanding of the power of collaboration and community engagement, reinforcing her commitment to fostering a town where every resident feels heard, valued, and represented.
Her professional background has also honed her ability to listen actively, mediate differing perspectives, and bring people together to find common ground—critical qualities in municipal leadership. Whether working on local policies, sustainability initiatives, or community events, Morgan applies her skills in communication, organization, and creative problem-solving to strengthen Collingswood’s neighborhoods, amplify resident voices, and promote an inclusive, thriving community.
Morgan is running for reelection to help continue to build connections across Collingswood’s neighborhoods and organizations and establish safe spaces for all of our neighbors.
"Now, more than ever, we need to come together as a community and stay strong for our most vulnerable neighbors. We can be valuable resources for each other through strong connections and an eye toward the future.”
"Collingswood means more to me now than ever before. In all the years I’ve called the Borough home, these last four years have taught me what community and support really mean. I have learned a tremendous amount from working with Jim and Rob, and I am excited to use my knowledge and experience to help further strengthen our community and keep Collingswood thriving. I am delighted to welcome Becky to the team and learn even more from her fresh perspective."
