WE are Team Collingswood

No matter where you go in Collingswood, you can sense it: A spirit of community pride; a willingness to work on behalf of our youth, our neighborhoods, and our town; and a vision of even better times ahead, as neighbor works with neighbor to bring that brighter future into reality. Some call all of this activity and spirit Collingswood’s sense of purpose. Others call it our sense of community pride. All can call it our collective sense of progress. We call it Team Collingswood!

Team Collingswood is also the banner over three candidates running for Collingswood Commission: Jim Maley, Morgan Robinson, and our newest teammate Rebecca “Becky” Sieg. But Team Collingswood is so much more than us as individuals. We’re running on a Team record of accomplishments and a vision for the future and that includes you, the residents of Collingswood! 

The residents of Collingswood are what makes us strong - It’s the hundreds, if not thousands, of individuals who volunteer and bring us ideas that make Collingswood a great place to live, work, and play.  

It’s our recreation volunteers, our Farmers’ Market family, our Book Festival, Holiday Parade, May Fair, and events committees. It’s our community gardeners, the Historic Commission, the PRIDE Committee, our Bike Share, our Green Team. It’s the people planting trees and organizing town cleanups. 

We go all out for the Gala. We show up together to celebrate diversity and PRIDE, to speak out against social injustices, to mourn national and community losses, and to support our neighbors of all backgrounds. 

Together, we enjoy a walkable, bustling downtown of small business owners, chefs, artists, makers, and musicians that never miss an opportunity to give back to the community. 

All of these wonderful things don’t just happen. Hundreds of residents show up to get involved at our Get Up Collingswood volunteer event. You bring us ideas at our town forums, public meetings, by sending an email, or chatting on the sports fields, at the pool, and coffee shops. We work alongside you and our Borough team to solve problems and create opportunities for a better future. 

We also have issues we need to meet as a community. Today, we face challenges to protect the most vulnerable of our residents and we continue to work on and meet those challenges together.

You make Team Collingswood strong. You inspire us to continue the progress. You are the reason we serve. 

Together we can continue to build a great future for Collingswood.
